South Bend - George Cesavice III, 73, passed away on Thursday with his family at his side. George was born February 9, 1949 in South Bend, to George Cesavice II and Lillian (Van De Sample) Wozniak. He is preceded in death by his father, George; his mother, Lillian; step-father, Art Wozniak and grandson, Blade Cesavice. Left to cherish the memory of George is his loving wife of 17 years, Marti (Slabaugh) Cesavice, whom he married on August 3, 2004. He is survived by his children, William Cesavice, Joshua (Nikki) Cesavice, Christopher (Teresa) Cesavice, Sean Cesavice, Michael (Char) Hooley, Marcia (Kevin) Hooley, Sheila Hooley; brother, Ronald Cesavice; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. George honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Bendix after 40 years. George was a member of the American Legion Post #357 and SAL. He loved Harleys, cars, and his 58 Chevy held a special place in his heart. George loved tattoos, his dogs and his fish. Most of all, he loved his wife and family. George was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed watching movies and crime shows. George especially looked forward to date night with his wife Marti. Visitation for George will be Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a Funeral ceremony to start at 1:00 pm in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. South Bend, IN 46619.
