Dolores Lowe, 91, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 in her home. She was born on February 20, 1930, in South Bend, to the late Roman and Victoria (Litznerski) Dombrowski and was a lifelong area resident. On May 20, 1950, as Dolores Dombrowski, she married C. Lynn Lowe, who preceded her in death on August 5, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Lowe in 2013. She is survived by her daughters; Linda (Tony) Hums of Cincinnati, OH, Carol (Michael) Bodnar of Fort Myers, FL and Mary (Rick) Maciejewski of South Bend, her son, Donald (Becky) Lowe of Osceola, IN; eight grandchildren, Lauren Maciejewski, James (Krista) Bodnar, Jack (Brandi Whitaker) Bodnar, Kyle Maciejewski, Andre (Sara) Hums, Adam (Erin) Hums, Andy Lowe and John Lowe; seven great-grandchildren, Elise Hums, Eric Hums, Winifred "Winnie," Violet and Harry Hums, and Livia and Maia Bodnar, and by cousins, Robert (Maryann) Litznerski and Donald Litznerski. Mrs. Lowe worked as a Marketing Room Clerk for Robertson's and Milady. She was a 1948 graduate of Central High School, South Bend, a Parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Holy Cross Catholic Church and belonged to the Sandpiper Cove Euchre Club. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday December 11, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church, where friends may visit for one hour prior to the Mass.
