Mr. Joseph Collazo, 58, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Mishawaka on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Joseph was born on October 31, 1960 in Merrillville, IN to Martin R. and Anna L. (Serrano) Collazo. At his time of passing, Joseph was employed at Logan Center. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Joseph is survived by his brother, Luis Fernando Roman of Merrillville; sisters Angela M Lopez of Crown Point and Lourdes Vega of Portage; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brothers, Miguel and Raymond Roman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. CST at Nativity of Our Savior Parish, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN 46368. Immediate burial to follow at Ridge Lawn/Mt. Mercy Cemetery in Gary, IN. Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
