Our Lord called Sister M. Rene' (Catherine Loraine) Duplessis to her eternal reward at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Sister M. Rene' died at Our Lady of Angel's Convent in Mishawaka, IN surrounded by her sisters in Christ. She was born on September 5, 1938 in Buras, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Duplessis and Alphonsine Dinet Duplessis, four sisters, and seven brothers. Survived by her sisters Angela Petkovich and Marguerite Demolle; and a host of family and friends. Sister M. Rene' joined the Franciscan order on August 22, 1958 where she remained a Franciscan Sister for 63 years. Visitation will be held at St. Francis Convent on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.

Sister M. Rene` Duplessis, 83, of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in Mishawaka passed away Tuesday in Our Lady of Angels Convent. Visitation is Friday, April 8, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm at St. Francis Convent, Mishawaka, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 am.
