SOUTH BEND, IN - Doris Marie Sciba, 91, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2019. She was the 12th of 13 children, to the late Joseph and Frances (Veri) Cherrone. Her son, Rick Sciba preceded her in death in 2011. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Terrie Ann Seago of Mishawaka, IN and Debbie (Mark) VanDerKlok of South Bend IN; brother, Fred (Rosalie) Cherrone of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Blount, Janelle (Tony) Moran, Rodney Sciba, Ryan (Briana) Sciba, Bridget VanDerKlok, and Ross (Caitlin) VanDerKlok; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Doris was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years in the area. She enjoyed her dogs, baking, needlepoint and crocheting. She was a loving mom, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. A Committal Service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Southlawn Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. McGann Hay Funeral Home is assisting the family.
