OSCEOLA - Adriana Joy "A.J." Wolkiewicz, 16, died Friday in her residence. "A.J.," as her friends lovingly called her, sadly took her own life. A.J. was a junior at Penn High School where she was member of the Orchestra and was a Peer Mediator working with the Special Needs kids. She was an "A" student. Adriana enjoyed camping, video games and Dr. Who. Along with her mother Robin she is survived by her maternal grandparents: Jeffery and Beth Wolkiewicz of Granger; two uncles: Nicholas Wolkiewicz of Niles, MI, and Shannon Wolkiewicz of Knoxville, TN; a special friend and father figure, David Biek of Mishawaka; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Wolkiewicz of South Bend; several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins; and a world of friends. Visitation was on Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at the Granger Missionary Church, 50841 Birch Rd., at the curve on SR 23 near the state line, Rev. Bob Renner, former Pastor, and Rev. Ryan Dalrymple, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
