LAPORTE - Mrs. Dorothy B. Kozlowski, 78, of LaPorte, passed away on March 2, 2014, at Brentwood Assisted Living. She was born on June 28, 1935, in South Bend, IN, to Stanley and Rose (Walkowiak) Ciesielski. She had lived in LaPorte for 42 years, coming from South Bend. She had retired from Whirlpool where she picked parts. On July 29, 1972, in South Bend, IN, she married Louis Kozlowski, who survives. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she worked on the funeral committee. She was also a member of the Falcons. She is survived by her husband; 2 sisters, Verna (Ervin) Kuspa of South Bend, IN, Mary (Norbert) Gapczynski of South Bend, IN; 2 brothers, Louis (Jeannette) Ciesielski of South Bend, IN, Leo (Linda) Ciesielski of South Bend, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Harry, Joseph, Casimer and William Ciesielski. The funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 10:00 A.M., La Porte time, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Ian Williams officiating. The visitation will be today from 3-7:00 P.M., La Porte time, and on Thursday 9-9:45 A.M, La Porte time, at the Essling Funeral Home. The Rosary will be today at 4:00 P.M., La Porte time, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pine Lake Cemetery following the Mass.
