BERNA G. EDEL
BREMEN -- Berna G. Edel, 84 of 304 N. Washington St, Bremen, died at 6:06 p.m. of October 07, 2001 at Community Hospital of Bremen due to natural causes. She was born May 3, 1917 in St. Joseph County, Ind, the daughter of Irvin and Lola (Pittman) Weldy. She married Theodore Hardy in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1951. Im 1952 , she married Housey Edel an he preceded her in death in 1980. A homemaker, Berna was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Ladies Circle and the VFW Ladies Auxilliary of Brmen. She is survived by one daughter, Valeria Laudean of Bremen; three sons, Keith and Gail Hardy of Bemen, Paul and City Edel of Bourbon and Rhidley and Sandy Edel of Bremen; five sisters, Nina Heitzel, Blanche Urednick, Eva Hawkins, Treva Diangikis and Dorothea Penrose, all of Bremen; five brothers, Charles, Cleo, Alvin, Marvin, and Clifford Weldy, all of Bremen; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preoceded in death by two sons, Melvin and Owen [Arvin]; one sister Fern; five brothers, Clayton, Wayne, Dale, Norman, and Noble; and two grandchildren, Shawn and Travis. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen, with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating. Buriel will follow at Bremen Cemetery.
