ELKHART - Erma N. Simmen, 87, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 in Riverside Village, where she had resided. Erma was born May 23, 1927 in LaSalle, IL to the late Sadie (Wirth) Domke and Emil Domke. Surviving are two daughters, Diane A. (James) Huwaldt of Granger and Dinah S. (Richard) Bryant of Glen Ellyn, IL; and a son, Robert A. Simmen, IV of Lisle, IL; one sister, Hazel Ripley of CA; and one granddaughter, Amanda Huwaldt of Palatine, IL. Erma retired after 30 years as an accounting analyst for Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Joliet, IL. Cremation will take place and a private family service of celebration will be held at a future date.
