Jacob Gorny age 72, of 1219 Western Ave died at 7 am today in his home of an illnes of two weeks. Born in Poland on April 5, 1866 he was married there on November 2, 1890 to Miss mary Otolski who survives. They came to South Bend from Poland 46 years ago. Surviving also are six daughters, Mrs. Julia Zarembka, Mrs. Jennie Romine, Mrs Gertrude Pielach, Mrs Clara Grzegorek, Mrs Virginia Malec, Mrs Wanda Cieciora, three sons, Alex, Sigmundand Edmund., 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Friends will be recieved in the home. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am Friday in St Hedwig Catholic Church, with Rev Francis Luzny officiating. Burial will be in St Josephs Cemetery. Mr. Gorney was a member of the Woodmen of the World and St Josephs League of St Hedwig Church.
