She was born March 7, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony and Josephine (Landi) Antonelli, Sr. Her family moved to a farm in Benton Harbor in the early 1930’s. Mary worked in the kitchen and cafeteria for the Heath Company and in her husband’s business - Subco Corporation - Benton Harbor. She volunteered in the thrift shop of Saints John and Bernard Parish. She enjoyed her family, reading, cooking, church and walking to Stevensville from her home with her close friend Barb Brunke. Not surprisingly, Italian food was her expertise. Her family remembers her homemade pastas and her mean spaghetti sauce. Mary will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by two sons, Rocco (Arlene) Graziano of Stevensville, Enrico (Linda) Cozzolino of Cassopolis; ten grandchildren, Marcia Miller, Rachelle Wyble, Angela Cozzolino, Joey Watson, Lori Watson, Lori (Robert) Deitz, Cindy (Brian) Bennett, Kelly (Richard) Stroup Taylor, Jeffrey (Amy) Hines, Robert (Susan DePelecyn) Hines, Jr.; nineteen great grandchildren; two sisters in law, Lois Antonelli and Donna Antonelli; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Dominic Graziano; her second husband, Angelo Cozzolino; one daughter and son in law, Mary Ann and Robert Hines; one sister and brother in law, Florence and George Helwig; three brothers and a sister in law, Michael and Clo Antonelli, Anthony Antonelli, and Louis Antonelli. Family and friends will gather Monday, August 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Saint John Catholic Church, 600 Columbus Avenue, Benton Harbor, celebrated by Monsignor Eugene Sears. Mrs. Cozzolino will be entombed beside her late husband, Angelo Cozzolino, in North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. The family prefers memorial contributions in Mary’s name be made to Saints John and Bernard Parish, 600 Columbus Avenue, Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022, or, Hospice Caring Circle, 4025 Park Lane, Saint Joseph, Michigan 49085.
