Dorothy M. Bartolini, 94, of South Bend, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Dorothy was born July 28, 1927 in South Bend to the late Henry Ross and Mary Alice (Wolfe) Myers. She spent most of her life in the South Bend/Mishawaka area. Dorothy was employed for many years at Goldblatt’s Department Store in Mishawaka. She did home health care until she was 80 years old. Dorothy was of the Catholic faith. She loved dancing, was an avid reader and at one time bowled and played bridge. She carried herself with grace and her appearance and fashion were important to her. Dorothy is remembered as a giving person and always exhibited a grateful heart. Her family was an important part of her life and she will be missed by all those that knew and loved her. Dorothy is survived by her two children, Lynn F. (Steven) Roth and Dominic (Kim) Bartolini; a sister, Shirley (Bernard) Waggoner; a brother, Jack Myers; seven grandchildren, Leslie, Lisa, Dominic, Michael, Jessica, Makenzi and Joseph; and six great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by former husbands, Dominic Bartolini and Russell Edward King; a son, Mark Bartolini; an infant son, Joseph Bartolini; and nine siblings, Jerry, Pete, Fred, Bill, Junior, Mary, Marge, Jean and Millie. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, July 20, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka. Burial will follow in Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 pm on Tuesday, July 19, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 West 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with a short service following visitation at 7 pm. Memorial donations are suggested to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.An online guest book is available at www.goethalswells.com.
