Mrs. Marguerite Hertel, age 24, 1525 Van Buren street, died Wednesday noon in St. Joseph's hospital following a week's illness. She was born in Hungary April 25, 1906, but had lived in South Bend since she was three years of age, coming here from her native country. Surviving are her husband Paul Hertel, to whom she was married in St. Joseph, Mich., July 3, 1924; her parents, Albert Botos, of South Bend, and Mrs. Botos in Cleveland, O.; two children, Phyllis Jean and Paul Eugene, jr., of this city, and four brothers and sisters, Albert Botos, of South Bend; William Botos of Wabash, Ind.; Miss Elizabeth Botos, of Indianapolis, and Miss Alice Botos of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in Holy Cross Roman Catholic church with Rev. John F. DeGroote, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. She was a member of Holy Cross church. The body may be viewed in the home of Mr. Hertel's mother, Mrs. M. Hertel, 628 North Lafayette bouldevard.
