MICHIGAN CITY - Hilary A. DeRosia, 77, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away May 12, 2013, at 11:25 a.m. in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. (CDT) Saturday, May 18, 2013, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.(CDT) until Mass time Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The Ott / Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling arrangements. She was born June 21, 1935, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Orlowski) DeRosia. Surviving are a sister, Andrea Nichols of South Bend, IN; niece, Michelle (Donald) Pellegrini of Zeeland, MI; nephew, Kent (Connie) Nichols of South Bend, IN; 3 great-nephews, Alex, Travis and Zachary Nichols; great-niece, Nicole Pellegrini; aunt, Barbara DeRosia of Harrison, OH; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne DeRosia, and brother-in-law, Charles Nichols. Hilary retired from Royal Metal/InterRoyal in Michigan City and continued on in a second career and retired as a bookkeeper and accounting specialist at Swiss Controls. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. Hilary's loving nature, devotion to family, friends, animals, and kind soul will be dearly missed.
