Emery Meszaros Sr., aged 73, of 1726 South William street, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday in his residence after an illness of one year. He was born in Hungary Nov. 5, 1877, and came here 48 years ago. In South Bend in 1905, he married Miss Theresa Mary Farkas, who survives. Other survivors are five sons, Emery, Joseph, Stephen, John and William, and four daughters, Mrs. Theresa Taffee, Mrs, Anna Bowman, Miss Mary and Mrs. Helen Gruszczynski, all of South Bend. Friends may call in the Zahoran funeral home until services at 9 a.m. Thursday in our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Right Rev. Msgr. John S. Sabo, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery.
