Lakeville - Arthur Cashmir Milewski, 90, passed away at 5:15 am, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth. Arthur was born March 26, 1929 in South Bend to the late Cashmir and Martha (Michalski) Milewski. On March 10, 1951 in Benton Harbor, MI. Art married Ann Lena Shushman; she preceded him in death in 1989. Art was also preceded in death by his sister Virginia Naussen. Left to cherish is memory are his children, Christopher Milewski, and Gwen (Henry) Ledford; grandson Joshua Ledford; and many cousins and friends. Art honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Tokyo, Japan for 2 years. He worked for Studebaker for 18 years and was later proud to have worked for Wheelabrator for 22 years. Art finished his career with Allied, retiring in 1991. Art was member of St. Joseph Valley Beagle Club. He enjoyed hunting and watching both Gunsmoke and Law & Order. He also like to watch Notre Dame Football (Go Irish!) on T.V. Art was a member of the UAW for many years and always looked forward to going to the meetings. Most of all, Art loved his family. His wife and children always came first. A Memorial Gathering for Art will take place on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 10:00am to 11:00am in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd, when Military Honors will be received.
