On Jan. 19, 1885 at St. Hedwige's Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, Rev. Val Czyzewski married Stanislaus Mnichowski and Mary Szweda. -image of original record, familysearch.org. The 1900-1920 census records of South Bend, Indiana, indicate that they immigrated in the early 1880s, and that they had twelve children. The children included (in birth order): Martha, Stanislaw, Walter, Czelaw/Chester, Cycelia, Vincent, Cornelia/Cora, Helen, Stephanie, Wladyslawa/Gladys, Eleanor, and Edward.
