Jeffrey Jerome “JJ” Janowski, Sr., 61, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born on November 12, 1956 in Michigan City, IN, to Herman Janowski and Viola (Deitzman) Murdock, both whom preceded him in death. JJ was survived by his daughter, Mellisa Hollister of Indiana; son, Jeffrey Jerome (Sara) Janowski, Jr., of South Bend; three grandchildren, Jameson Hollister of Indiana; Miles Janowski of South Bend; and Jana Janowski of South Bend; sister, Rebecca Janowski of Michigan City, IN; brother, Brian Murdock of New Buffalo, MI; nephew, Blake Murdock of Cleveland, OH; niece, Ashley Murdock of Mishawaka, to whom JJ proudly stood as a godfather; and several additional great-nieces/nephews. In addition to his parents, JJ was preceded in death by daughter, Courtney Hollister. JJ was employed as a draft technician at Indiana Beverage for more than thirty years. He was a member of Chain-o-Lakes Conservation Club, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and living life to the fullest. JJ especially enjoyed the Linebacker Lounge in South Bend.The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Indiana Beverage family for all that they have done.
