[N30437] Robert L Bozzo
September 16, 1942 - September 11, 2021

Mr. Robert L. Bozzo, 78, of Rochester, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 9:50 AM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home. On September 16, 1942, Robert Lee Bozzo was born in Elkhart. He was a treasured son of Albert and Virginia Preston Bozzo. Growing up he shared his childhood with two sisters, Josephine and Elizabeth, and a brother Jerry. He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1960. Bob continued his formal education at Butler University. In Elkhart, Bob married the love of his life Miss Anna Marie Johnson on November 23, 1963. From their union came a beloved son. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessing of Robert his namesake and adored grandson. Bob's memberships include the Elks Lodge # 2120 and the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association. As an entrepreneur, Bob was one of the founders of the Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association. Bob founded his company, Casa Villa Inc. in the early 1980's and ran that successfully until his retirement. The business saw international trade when he began marketing the units to Japan. These were all custom built and strategically set in the side of a mountain for use as recreational residences. In his early years, Bob enjoyed coaching Junior High basketball in Elkhart. As an American sportsman, he loved boating on the sparkling waters of Lake Manitou with his family and friends. As an accomplished golfer Bob once hit a hole in one. His favorite course was the Rochester Elks' Club. Bob and Ann returned to the home country, Italy to sightsee and visit family and friends. Many memories were made visiting the Isle of Capri, walking up the steps, then getting a taxi to return to sea level. Great times were had at Sorrento singing karaoke. There were many visits to the Vatican and once they stood less than 10 feet from the Pope. Another favorite destination was Toronto to visit the family. As the patriarch of the Bozzo family, Bob's greatest joy was being a Grandpa. He looked forward to the holidays and special family celebrations. He was his grandson Robert's number one fan, always in the gallery or courtside cheering him on at all his sporting events and school activities. Left to cherish Bob's memory are his wife Ann, a son Alfie "A.J." Bozzo, a grandson Robert J. Bozzo all of Rochester; and his siblings Jerry Bozzo and Josephine Bozzo both of Elkhart.
Preceding Bob in death are his parents and a sister Elizabeth DeRose. A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert L. Bozzo will be at 11:00 AM, September 16, 2021 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1300 Main Street, Rochester, IN 46975. Rev. Daniel Shine will officiate. Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester, IN 46975. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital or the Rochester Elks Scholarship Fund.
