Stephen E. Johnson, 70, of Moss Road, South Bend, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1934 in Michigan City, Indiana, to Robert and Wavellyn (Freese) Johnson, who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1953 in south Bend and in St. Adalbert Church, Stephen married Gloria Wroblewski. Surviving Stephen are his wife, Gloria; two sons, Brian Johnson of South Bend and Daryl Johnson of Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren, Brian II, Daryl Jr., Tyler, Amber, and two step-grandsons, James and Eric. Stephen was a member of St. Patrick Church and American Legion 357. he loved working outdoors and was fortunate to be able to have a career that allowed him the opportunity to be outside. he loved working in his yard and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Stephen was a tank driver in the 4th Armored Division Army and was stationed in Germany 1957-1959.
