Nicodemus Kaminski aged 80 of 1149 West Thomas Street died at 11:30 Sunday morning at the home of his daughter Anna J. Kaminska, 1939 North Johnson Street after 4 months of sickness from uremic poisoning. He was a retired retail and wholesale fruit dealer who started the business in 1890 and went into the wholesale fruit business in 1910 and retired in 1920. His sons Peter and Sylvester are owners of Kaminski Brothers Wholesale Fruit Company 401-403 South St. Joseph Street, which they organized in 1930.
Born in Poland May 27, 1859, he came to South Bend 60 years ago. He was married at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church 53 years ago to Miss Victoria Pawlak who died 26 years ago. Surviving are 3 other sons Stephen, Chester and John and another daughter Helen Hadsell and 8 grandchildren. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
