[N25997] Bonnie Vollmer
nee Baker
June 15, 1957 - May 17, 2020

On May 17th, 2020, Bonnie L. Vollmer of Indianapolis, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at age 62 from complications due to cancer. Bonnie was born on June 15th, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana, to Fred and Lucille Baker (Muszynski). She married Joseph Vollmer on August 3rd, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana. After attending both IUPUI and Marian University, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. Over her life Bonnie worked for Indiana Bell, Saint Simon parish, The Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and IU Health North. She studied German and became an “amateur expert” in the life of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. Her favorite activities included spending time with family, birdwatching, quoting Seinfeld, and visiting amusement parks and riding roller coasters with her children. Bonnie’s love of cats, laugh, and sense of humor will be missed by all. Bonnie is survived by her husband Joseph, children Patrick and Allison, parents Fred and Lucille Baker (Muszynski), brothers William and Robert Baker, several in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Hillary Wu, her team of doctors, and all of the compassionate staff at the Indiana Cancer Center and IU Health North for years of professional and loving care. A Catholic funeral mass will take place on June 6th, 2020, at Saint Simon the Apostle Church, where flowers can be sent. Following mass, Bonnie will be buried at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Loved ones may also make a donation to the American Cancer Society. For Seinfeld fans, a donation can be made in her name to The Human Fund.
