SOUTH BEND - Jerome J. Kloska, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in his residence. Jerry was born June 24, 1924, in South Bend, to the late John and Veronica (Wlodarek) Kloska. On May 5, 1951, Jerry married Vivian (Burdick) Kloska, who preceded him in death. Jerry was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Zemanek. Survivors of Jerry include his children, Diane (Charles) Gooding of Elkhart, Michelle Kloska of Mishawaka, Brian Kloska of South Bend, Kenneth Kloska of South Bend; grandchildren, Jennifer (Vincent) Cline of Elkhart, Elizabeth Gooding of Elkhart, Anthony (Angeline Smith) Bocardo of South Bend; great-grand-children, Olivia Mc Donald, Nolan Cline, Camden Cline, Dominick Bocardo, Montique Jenkins, Jr.; brother, Robert (Marcella) Kloska of Buchanan, MI. Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1985 from AM General. Jerry was a member of the American Legion Post 357. He collected Native American artifacts and artwork, and framed arrowheads. In his younger years, he was very artistic, he also enjoyed drawing. Jerry loved working in his flower garden, and Polka dancing. He had an extensive movie collection and liked to listen to music. Jerry enjoyed visiting antique malls with his niece, Charlotte. Most of all he looked forward to his Friday night dinners at Top Notch restaurant with his family. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family. Entombment will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
