MISHAWAKA - Gertrude M. "Trudy" Rafalski, 86, of Mishawaka, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 2:25 p.m. in Hospice House. Trudy was born on February 27, 1920, in Manistee, MI, to Stanley and Mary Rafalski. Her parents preceded her in death, along with her brother, Edward Rafalski, John Rafalski, Joan Buzalski and Mary Szabo. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Larry (Deb) Buzalski, Lorraine (Dick) Carlson, Raymond (Vilma) Buzalski, Sue (John) Kosek-Peavey, Greg (Cheryl) Rafalski, Bruce (Lisa) Rafalski and Karen (Bob) Frasier; two sisters-in-law, Florence Rafalski and Nettie Rafalski; and many more nieces and nephews. Trudy retired in 1985 from Fatima Retreat House, where she was an accountant for many years. Friends may call today, December 5, from noon to 1 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a funeral liturgy will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
