South Bend - Florence A. Bilinski, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Bell Tower Nursing Facility. Florence was born July 11, 1923 in South Bend to the late Joseph and Mary (Pautralski) Kowalewski. On June 29, 1946 Florence married Walter Bilinski; he preceded her in death in 1980. Florence was also preceded in death by her six brothers and sisters. Left to cherish Florence memory are her children, Sherrill (Jeffrey) Juday, Marcia (Charles) Sausman; grandchildren, Christopher (Marcia Kingman) Sausman, Nicole (Kevin) Coppins, and Alexandra "Lexi"; and great-grandchildren, Emmersyn, Hudson, Alexander. Fondly known as “Flo” “Meemers” and “Mrs. B,” she was known for being an amazing cook. Her famous kiffles, potato salad, and apple pie would always steal the show. Florence loved sewing and would often perform alterations and tailoring; she could do anything. She also loved gardening and tended her pansies and roses and mowed her lawn with loving care. Visitation for Florence will be Monday, April 1, 2019, 9:00 to 10:30am, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1050 Wilber St. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
