SOUTH BEND - Alice Michaud, 97, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in her home. Alice was born October 31, 1919 in South Bend to the late Philip and Clara Stachowiak. On July 25, 1968 Alice married her loving husband David Michaud he preceded her in death on November 23, 2012. Alice was also preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Olden and a grandson, Leonard Genchoff. Survivors of Alice include her children, Janet Lowe, Nancy Rozmarynowski, and Betty Stone; sister, Evelyn Meller; grandchildren, Pam (Joe) Hayton, Donna (Chris) Thielka, Stacy (Kris) Kissinger, William Lowe; great-grandchildren, Philip, Abigail, Joey, and Tyrone; Patti Genchoff & family. Alice (Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma) will be deeply missed, loved forever, rest in peace. Alice worked for the Verssel Corporation where she was a welder. Alice was a member of the Polish National Alliance and St. Adalbert Harvest House. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos, playing cards especially poker. Most of all Alice loved her family very much and spending time with them. Visitation for Alice is 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
