Robert (Bob) Spychalski
January 31, 1935 ~ November 14, 2020 (age 85)
Robert (Bob) Spychalski, 85, of Mishawaka went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father at 9:50 am on Saturday, November 14, 2020 in his home with his family and friends by his side. Bob was born on January 31, 1935 in South Bend to the late Leo and Lillian (Schmanowski) Spychalski. Bob was also preceded in death by son, Edmond E. Spychalski; and daughter-in-law Patrice Grant-Spychalski. On June 30, 1962, at St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, Bob married Norma J. (Varda). She survives along with sons, Robert Alan Spychalski, Robert Joseph (Crysta) Spychalski Jr.; daughter, Christine M. (Pedro) Rosa; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Bob’s wonderful wit and loving kindness will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Bob was a Korean War veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was a talented welder. Bob worked for Rockwell, Studebaker, and Dodge, and eventually he did custodial work for the Mishawaka Police Department. Before retirement, Bob drove a school bus for PHM and Marian High Schools. He loved camping with his family; they were members of the Good Sams Club. During retirement Bob found great pleasure in fishing, bowling, and golfing with family and friends, as well traveling to Florida with his wife to wait out the long winters where he could do more golfing. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no Funeral Services at this time.
