On April 27, 1874, Rev. William Mahoney, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, married Julia Pardua and Ignatz Boinsky (sic). (image of original record, familysearch.org) The 1880 federal census record of South Bend indicates that Ignatz and Julia Boinski were both born in Prussia, and their three daughters, Francis, Clara, and Bridget (aka Bronislawa) were born in Indiana. The 1900 federal census record of South Bend, indicates that Ignatz and Julianna Boinski both immigrated in 1872, Julianna had had six children of whom four were living, and daughter Hedwige and son Casimir were living at home.
Ignatz Boinski, 53, died Aug. 22, 1906, in South Bend. (WPA, Indiana, Index to Death Records and the interment records of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend.) According to the federal census records, Julianna Boinski continued to live in South Bend (in 1910 with Hedwige and Casimir). On April 12, 1930, Julianna Boinski, 77, a widow, neƩ Pardua, died. According to the cemetery lot card, as microfilmed in 1989, she was interred with Bronislawa, Henry, and Casimir Boinski, but unlike them, she has no grave marker.
