SOUTH BEND, IN - Barbara Sahut went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2018. Barbara was born in San Francisco, CA on May 3, 1938. She was the only child of the late Mary and Raymond Sahut. Barbara moved to South Bend in 1977 to join the People of Praise, an ecumenical charismatic Christian community. Barbara retired in 1996 from Key Bank after 20 years of service. She was an active member of both the People of Praise, where she was a committed member of the Intercessory Prayer Team, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend, where she was a daily communicant for many years. Her generous spirit kept her involved at St. Joseph Church in the hospitality ministry and as a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound. She was a long time officer for the East Jefferson Townhomes Association. She loved her Irish heritage and often spoke of her travels. She will be remembered most for her love of the Lord. She was a loyal friend with an adventurous spirit and a sweet disposition. Visitation will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 13 with a Wake Service at 8 p.m. at the People of Praise Community Center, 53666 N. Ironwood Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 14, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity at Greenlawn, 107 South Greenlawn, South Bend, IN 46617.
