Zoltan D. Tiser, 94, passed away at 4:35am, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in the Timbers of Cass County, Dowagiac. Zoltan was born on August 17, 1921 in Miskolc, Hungary to Daniel and Ilona (Bokor) Tiser. He came to South Bend in 1957 and lived there for 7 years before moving to Cassopolis. He was the owner of Tiser Construction. On October 4, 1942 he married the former Ilona Vass who survives along with two daughters Ilona (Laszlo) Sari of Austin, TX and Judith Koopman of Cassopolis, two sons Zoltan (Diane) Tiser and Gabor Tiser both of Cassopolis, 7 grandchildren Susan Stallings, Lori Rogers, Katherine Lampert, Robert Tiser, Daniel Tiser, Ronald Beckwith and Julie Pagels, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ilona Csernik and a brother Bela Tiser. Funeral services will be celebrated at 2:00pm Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
