Dennis E. Maike, 67, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Dennis was born on September 16, 1953 in South Bend to the late Charles L. and Beatrice M. (Nichols) Maike. He was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Clay High School. He owned and operated Hardwood Specialist. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Darious Easton) Maike of Mishawaka, his sons, Bryan (Katie) Maike, Christopher (Amanda) Maike both of Cape Coral, FL., Justin (Brandi) Maike of South Bend and Scott (Jennifer) Maike of Walkerton, along with his fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves behind his sisters, Nancy Maike of Dowagiac, MI., Suzanne (Wayne) Bonner of Cypress, MI., Janet (Kris) Hawblitzel of Dorr, MI., Connie (Tom) Hebron of Edwardsburg, MI., Denise (Rob) Mead of Niles, MI., Sheila (Terry) Cegielski of Granger, his brother, Douglas (Lori) Maike of Lakeville, IN and his ex-wife Lynda Maike of South Bend and Jamie Reinebold of South Bend. Along with his parents Dennis is preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Creech and brother, Charles W. Maike. Dennis was a unique man with a zest for life and a love for his family and friends that will never be forgotten. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Homes - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, 46614.
