SAN ANTONIO, TX - Lorraine M. Wilson, 86, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, while visiting with her son. She was born April 1, 1930 in South Bend to the late George and Josephine (Celmer) Gotowka. On April 9, 1960, she married Olus E. Wilson, who preceded her in death in April 1995. Her sister, Esther J. Homeleski, also preceded her in death in December 2014. Lorraine is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Diana) of Indianapolis, Keith of Jonesboro, GA, and Kevin of San Antonio, TX. Also surviving are grandchildren Calley and Daniel, both of Indianapolis, and a nephew, Michael (Marcy) Homeleski of Fishers, IN. Lorraine had been a lifelong South Bend resident until October 2015 when she moved to San Antonio to be near her son. She had worked as an office girl at Saint Joseph Funeral Home in the 1950s, but once she was married, she devoted her life to being a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed watching classic movies, and she was an avid sports fan, especially Notre Dame football, Chicago Cubs baseball, and Wimbledon tennis. For the past 17 months, she was a resident at Mesa Vista Inn Health Center in San Antonio where she charmed the staff with her smile.Delgado Funeral Home in San Antonio is handling the cremation. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend in the near future. Published in South Bend Tribune on Mar. 21, 2017 -
