SOUTH BEND - Rose Mary Cauffman, 93, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:08 a.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She was born on March 12, 1922 to the late Frank H. and Hattie (Szczodrowski) Bauer in South Bend, IN, and lived most of her life in South Bend. Rose Mary lived 26 years in Plant City, FL, before moving back to South Bend. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. On February 15, 1941, as Rose Mary Bauer, she married James Cauffman Jr. in South Bend, IN. He passed away on October 4, 1995. Rose Mary is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Cauffman, Carolyn (James) Quaintance and Betty Ann (Keith) Whetham; one son, James F. Cauffman; nine grandchildren, Jim Cauffman, Jeff Cauffman, Joyce (Donnie) White, Mark (Debbie) Quaintance, Michael Quaintance, Tonya (Brian) Brown, Kim (David) Wells, Karyn (Doug) Delio, and Kevin (Amber) Whetham, and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cauffman was a member of Holy Family Parish. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev.
