Mishawaka, IN-Donna K. Van Avermaete, 56, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, March 1, 2021. Donna was born on January 12, 1965, in Sikeston, MO to Loyd and Kathie (Colbert) Brown. Donna married Jeffrey Van Avermaete who survives. Also surviving Donna are her sisters, Telisa (Steve) Harville, Wanda (Steve) Nelson and Cheryl (Brian) Pemberton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Donna and Jeff loved to bowl and enjoyed competing in bowling tournaments. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her flowers. She loved arts and crafts especially her stuffed animal collection. In the summertime, she loved spending time by the pool. Visitation will be 1:00 pm-4:00 pm Sunday, March 7th in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Donna will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am Monday, March 8th, with Reverend Neil Davis officiating. Due to current public health and safety standards for COVID-19, social distancing will be enforced and masks required.
