Thomas J. Cichowicz, 62, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born on January 25, 1958 in South Bend, Indiana to Ronald and Emily (Niemier) Cichowicz. Thomas is survived by his mother Emily Cichowicz, two daughters, Samantha (Carter) Walley of Rochester, Indiana, Jessica Cichowicz of Rochester, Indiana, one son, Joshua (Shannon) Cichowicz of South Bend, Indiana, seven grandchildren; Jordan and Kelton Lett, Kelsey Walker, Makayla, Lizzy, Skylar and Becca Walley, one brother, Kenneth (Sharon) Cichowicz of South Bend, Indiana, one nephew, Jason (Elizabeth) Cichowicz of South Bend, Indiana, one niece, Laura (Jason) Barrett of Fishers, Indiana, two great nieces, Emma Cichowicz and Madison Barrett, two great nephews, Evan Cichowicz and Taylor Barrett. Tom was a great listener who was known for his huge heart and one of a kind personality. He was passionate about sports and a lifelong fan of Notre Dame Football and the Chicago Cubs. In his free time, he loved being on the lake and fishing. He was a spiritual man who did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. A visitation for Thomas will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A Catholic Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
