MISHAWAKA - Andy Semenak, 88, passed away in his home in Canton, Georgia, on Sunday, December 10, 2017. He was born March 31, 1929, in Clarksburg, WV, to John and Barbara (Petrigas). Surviving are his wife, Marcia Bicknell, Mark Semenak; son, Michael (Amy) Semenak; stepsons, James Davis, Stephen Mark; stepdaughter, Diana (Claude) Mark Burden; grandchildren, Jimmy Davis, Heather Chimienta, Allison and Andrew Semenak, Daniel (Emily) Steinbaugh, Alex and Kate Mark; great-granddaughters, Riley and Courtney Chimienta. Also, surviving are his sister, Mary Cimperman, Brecksville, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Andy moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from high school and technical school. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he was 1st Sergeant at the NCO Academy stationed in Badtoiz, Germany. He came to Mishawaka, Indiana, in 1953 where he and his brother, Joe, operated Semco TV and Appliance and later worked for the City of Mishawaka for 16 years before his retirement. Andy was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Mishawaka where he was past President. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mishawaka, and was a member of the choir for many years. No funeral arrangements are made at this time. A memorial service will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Mishawaka, at a later date.
