SOUTH BEND - Dorothy "Dotty" L. Piekarski, 85, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Healthwin. Dorothy was born March 17, 1928, in Marissa, IL, to the late Claude and Cassie Davis. On August 23, 1956, Dotty married Daniel 'Baker' Piekarski of South Bend; he survives along with her brother, Jim (Margaret) Davis of Springfield, IL. Dotty worked for the United States Government. She will always be remembered for her wonderful memory and never forgetting a birthday or a holiday. Her family will miss receiving her greeting cards. Dotty also enjoyed oil painting. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., is assisting the family. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
