On 26 Dec 1942 he wed Lorraine Luczkowski who survives with 2 daughters: Mrs Linda Schack of San Diego CA, Ms Sandra Hornyak of US Navy Air Station, Bermuda; 2 grandchildren; 7 sisters: Mrs Alma Katona, Mrs Francis Hojnack, Mrs Esther Katona, mrs Margaret Comption, Mrs Julie Hamlett, Mrs Freda Laiber and Mrs Ann Shue; 5 brtohers: Steven,
Julius and Frank Hornyak, Louis & John Paksi.
