Marie R. Dieterich (nee Davoli) 79 of Lorain died Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in her home following a brief illness. She was born September 23, 1926 in Lorain. She was a life long resident. Mrs. Dieterich retired from Lorain Products as a coil winder. She worked there for approximately 20 years. She had also worked for General Industries in Elyria. She was a member of Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church, Lorain. Mrs. Dieterich served with the Lorain Auxiliary Police. She enjoyed traveling to North Carolina and Michigan. She was an avid Ohio State football fan. She was loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Among the survivors are her brothers Joseph and Frank Davoli both of Lorain; sister Rose Carpino of Lorain and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Gabriel Carpino in 1968, her second husband Gerald Dieterich in 1999 and her parents Carmen and Emily (nee Trappso) Davoli. Friends may call Thursday, June 8, 2006, 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral services Friday, June 9, 2006 with closing prayers in the funeral home 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Ladislaus Catholic Church, East 29 street and Wood Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Father James P. Schmitz, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
