SOUTH BEND, IN - Pearl Czarnecki (Kasznia) passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Pearl was born February 22, 1926 in North Liberty to the late Joseph and Janina Kasznia in North Liberty. On April 14, 1956 Pearl married Walter Czarnecki and had two sons, Derrick and Kevin. She worked at South Bend Lathe, Singer Sewing Machine, Studebaker, and then retired in 1990 from Blue Line Transfer. Pearl was also a long-time volunteer at Memorial Hospital. Pearl is survived by her two sons, Derrick (Margaret) Czarnecki and Kevin (Karen Seiler) Czarnecki; five grandchildren, Brandan (Sarah) Czarnecki, Alexis Czarnecki, Meghan (Andrew) Zwierzynski, Bailey (Chris Conley) Czarnecki, and Blair Czarnecki. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents, Joseph and Janina; siblings, Irene (Gordon) Janiszewski, Helen (Frank) iespodziany, Walter (Loretta) Kasznia, and Evelyn (Alford) Liszewski; and daughter-in-law, Kelly Czarnecki. Visitation for Pearl will be 12:30 pm to 2:45 pm, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
