SOUTH BEND - Marlene Ann Johnson died on December 29, 2015, in Roswell, Georgia. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Stanley and Bernice Mnichowski on August 5, 1936. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Mnichowski. Marlene was part of the first graduating class of St. Joseph High School in 1954. Marlene, a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, lived her life for her family. Family was everything to her and she was everything to her family. She is survived by her 4 children-Bob Johnson, Debbie Stage and her husband, Paul, Julie Murdock and her husband, Tony, and Michelle Lavery and her husband, Bill. Marlene had 4 grandchildren-Candi Radican, Denny Fulkrod, Grace Murdock and Olivia Murdock, and 1 great-grandchild, Parker Sutton. Marlene was a strong and independent woman who worked hard her whole life. Her career included Restaurant Management, Clerk for the County and as a Receptionist. Marlene loved dancing, music, traveling, shopping, and ice cream. Her family will have a private celebration of her life on January 23, 2016. Published in South Bend Tribune on Jan. 7, 2016
