SOUTH BEND - Helen M. Golubski, 83, passed away Thursday in her residence. Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda (Paul) Jones; sons, Tom (Tamara) Golubski and Jim Golubski; six grandchildren, Kristen, David, Matthew, Laura, Ryan, Cameron; sister, Theresa (George) Strantz; brothers, Ferdinand and Bob Bilski. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, in Little Flower Catholic Church, where services will be at 10:30 am on Monday. St. Joseph Funeral Home, Mayflower road Chapel is handling arrangements.

SOUTH BEND - Helen M. Golubski, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at home. Helen was born in South Bend on July 27, 1927 to the late Joseph and Mary (Polocki) Bilski. Helen was married to Clem R. Golubski who passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by: her daughter, Sandra Golubski; brother, Ted Bilski; sisters, Natalie Gore and Dorothy Koszyk . Helen is survived by her daughter, Linda (Paul) Jonas of South Bend; sons, Thomas (Tamara) Golubski of Niles and James Golubski of South Bend; six grandchildren, Kristen, David, Matthew, Laura, Ryan, Cameron; sister, Theresa (George) Strantz of South Bend; brothers, Ferdinand and Robert Bilski both of South Bend. Helen worked at Benjamin Harrison School for 32 years in the cafeteria, retiring in 2001. Helen lived on Lake Street for many years of her life. She was a member of St. Adalbert's Church and more recently, Little Flower Catholic Church. Helen was a people person. She loved to travel to Florida and Las Vegas, spend time at the 'Boat', shop in Shipshewana and the farmer's markets. Helen enjoyed cooking and going out to the movies. She had also cooked for many Polish weddings over the years and loved Notre Dame Football and Duke Basketball. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:30 am in Little Flower Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends and relatives may visit from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, May 1, and from 9:30 am Monday until time of mass at Little Flower Catholic Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 Ironwood Rd, South Bend, IN 46635. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
