SOUTH BEND - Regina A. Jedrzejewski, 100, of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in her home. Regina was born on October 19, 1915 in South Bend to Jacob and Josphine (Jeske) Kalka, and was a lifelong resident. On February 18, 1939 she married Casimer Dorn. He died in 1945 in Iwo Jima during W.W.II. On September 3, 1949 she married Harold J. (Andy) Jedrzejewski, who preceded her in death on December 29, 1995. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jerome Jedrzejewski (1950); five sisters, Mary Cencelewski, Theresa Makielski, Sally Kosek, Veronica Grzeskiewicz, and Evelyn Feliss; and four brothers, Steven, Leon Jr., Clement, and Frank Kalka. Regina is survived by her son Harold J. (Loretta) Jedrzejewski, Jr. of South Bend, Indiana; two grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie) Jedrzejewski and Jason Jedrzejewski; and three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Sobecki, Matthew Jedrzejewski, and Alexander Jedrzejewski. A visitation will take place from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016 in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Regina was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish, Altar and Rosary Society, and Harvest House. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Holy Cross Church.
