Irene Elizabeth (Drucker) Nabicht, 88, of N. Hawthorne Drive, South Bend, Ind., died Sunday morning in Hospice House. Irene retired as a co-owner of Nabicht Cafeteria in South Bend for many years. She was born Aug. 18, 1914, in Budapest, Hungary, to Nador and Elizabeth (Ballasy) Drucker, who preceded her in death along with two sisters, Gizella Drucker and Tatjana Grauaug; and two brothers, Bela and Dezso Drucker. Irene has lived in South Bend since 1951 and in 1961 in South Bend, she married Ferdinand Nabicht who died April 5, 1965. Surviving is a nephew, Ivan (Ona) Grauaug of South Bend; three nieces, Irene Montana, Elizabeth Szynski and Gabe Cole, all of South Bend; and one grandnephew, Victor Grauaug of Encino, Calif. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson. Irene was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Parish AARP. Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
