South Bend - Mary Lou Papai passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 7, 2021. She was 86. She was born on April 2, 1935 in South Bend, IN, to the late Thomas and Cecelia (Scheibelhut) Getzinger. Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 65 years, Victor; children: Victor Jr., Kenneth James, Stephen Thomas, and Christopher Joseph Papai and Debra Ann (Papai) Troxell; grandchildren: Corey, Kelsie, Brianna, Alex, Emily, Galen, Natalie, Kegan, Chloe, Victoria, Kyle, and Coty; and her sister Nancy Gibson. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Thomas, Doris, and John Getzinger, Helen Strebinger, and Joann McMeel. Mary Lou was a worldwide traveler and enjoyed camping, shopping and sewing for her family. She was also very passionate about her flower garden. Mary Lou loved her family above all else. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N.
