SOUTH BEND - Joseph Smiechowski passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, in Memorial Hospital with his daughter by his side. Joseph was born in South Bend on September 3, 1956, to Joseph and Wilma Smiechowski. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; and brothers, William and Michael Smiechowski. Survivors of Joseph include his mother, Wilma; daughter, Marissa (Shawn) Switalski; brother, Eugene Smiechowski; and several nieces and nephews. Joseph worked many hours throughout his life, but when not working, he loved spending time with family & friends and riding his Harley. Condolences for the family may be made at sjfh.net.
