CHIPPEWA LAKE, OH - Adeline "Adele" Olszewski, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 4, 2011. Adele was born February 12, 1935, in South Bend, to Marion and Sophie (nee Kazmierzak) Orzechowski. She spent her early years in the West end attending St. Adalbert's and graduating from Washington High School. She worked at Associates until it closed. In 1956 she married Allen Olszewski, and they moved to Chippewa Lake, Ohio. She loved living by the lake and watching the many birds at her feeders. Her gentle spirit and kind, encouraging words always warmed our hearts. She is survived by her husband, Allen; sister-in-law, Carol (Terry) Martin; niece, Sarah (Brian Cochran) Martin; nephew, Charles (Rena Holmes-Martin) Martin; and great-nephew, Caleb Allen Martin. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, April 8, 2011, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. A funeral service will begin at noon on Friday, April 8, 2011, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
