Irma Fuzy was my biological grandmother and I found out she married Milo McCammon in 1945 and had 2 children. Irma's middle initial was "K." This is the link to her current record >>> http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=piech2&id=I2 1135

Irma K. Fuzy became Irma K. McCammon and died as Irma K. McCammon on her final death certificate. She died May 28, 2003 and was born March 11, 1915. Milo her husband died in March 1967. They had 2 children together: Michael David McCammon who died August 1987 in Michigan and was born September 16, 1946 in Indiana. His name may have been recorded as just Michael McCammon. And the daughter was Mary McCammon who was born October 15, 1948 in Indiana and died January 25, 2002 in Lynwood, CA. She changed the spelling of her last name to "MacCammon" when she came out to California.

Speaking of filling in the blanks about Irma there was an odd situation there. She divorced Milo shortly before he died of a heart attack in 1967. At that time she may have changed her name back to Fuzy. However later because of some kind of arrangement she actually changed her last name back to her married name McCammon after Milo died. That may have been due to some kind of financial arrangement. Milo was very wealthy. 35 years later she died as Irma K. McCammon on her official death certificate. She had served in the Marines in World War II, was very proficient in short-hand note taking, but was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Also, in 1965 they had arranged for Michael her son to go to Michigan to get into the auto industry and Mary to go to Los Angeles to get into acting. I've confirmed this from several sources, my half-sister Julie Schlagel who was Mary's 1st child in 1967 she had to give up for adoption, the ex-wife of Michael, and from official death certificates. My half-sister and I were adopted, and last year we connected through social services.

Irma died in a nursing home in West Lafayette, Indiana in May 2003. She spent some time in Los Angeles shortly in the 70s or late 80s to be with her daughter for a while, but moved back to Indiana to stay for the last 20 years of her life. Milo died in Michigan in 1967, but was buried in Letts, Indiana, his original state of birth. Milo was a big deal with NASA, the Bendix corporation and a rocket scientist in the military. I was told the secret service was even at his death bed taking notes about his final projects. So anyway, both Irma and Milo were buried in Indiana, not at the same cemetery though. Milo died in the neighboring northern state and was moved back to Indiana.

Irma and Mary were both cremated instead of buried. I don't know if that makes a difference. Mary's remains were actually transported from a mortuary in Los Angeles to Indiana years later after her death at the request of her distant relatives in Indiana. Irma was cremated at the "Wyatt Crematory" in Wyatt, Indiana. I still wonder why there was no obituary when she died. I heard she had severe dementia in her last years and her family had a little falling out. Maybe that's why.

Unfortunately, Michael D. McCammon's cause of death in 1987 was hanging. I spoke to his ex-wife Judy Gabriel and they didn't have any children together.
