Nov. 10, 1936 - Oct. 3, 2013 MISHAWAKA - Roswitha Maryann Hernandez, 76, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at Hospice House in South Bend, IN. She was born on November 10, 1936, in Plankstadt, Germany, to Karl and Maria (Gund) Schaffner, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Hernandez; three daughters, Sylvia (Brian) Elias of Edwardsburg, MI, Sonja (Thomas) Jelinski of Granger, IN, and Cindy Moss of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers. She was member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Private visitation and services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545-5234. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
