James R. Peterson, 56, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011, at his home. James was born October 1, 1954, to Eric H. and AntoinetteToby (Nadolny) Peterson. He was employed with A-1 Telecom. Surviving is his mother, Antoinette Toby Peterson of South Bend, Indiana; his sister, Lin (Randy) Goss of South Bend, Indiana; nephews, Tyler (Rebecca Eastep) Goss of South Bend, Cary (Anne) Goss of Houston, Texas, Jeff Bucholtz of South Bend, Indiana; a great niece, Olivia; his fiance, Terese Gleiss of South Bend; and his beloved dog, Lucky. Jim also known as the Blues Bunny was a 1972 graduate of Clay High School where he played on the 1970 State Championship Baseball Team. Jim will be remembered for his love of the Blues, fishing and baseball. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to, Pet Refuge.
